Eraj is fourteen and is in eighth grade. She enjoys playing soccer and dancing in her free time. She has five sisters and four brothers. Eraj's favorite color is sky blue and her favorite food is a fish sandwich. She loves living in Pakistan.

SUMMIYA
Summiya is fifteen years old. She has four brothers and four sisters. She enjoys skipping and watching movies in her free time. She doesn't have time to play after school because she has to help her mother at home and do her homework. Her father is a shopkeeper and her favorite subject in school is math. She speaks Urdu and Pashto and is learning English. Her favorite food is mixed vegetable bhujia. If she were to change one part of her school, she would like to have more art classes. Even though she can't attend college because she is part of a tribal family, she is grateful to her school and the US for helping her receive an education.
NOUMAN
Nouman is fifteen years old and is the youngest of five brothers. His favorite sport is cricket and which he always plays on the weekend and he enjoys flying kites. His favorite food is chicken korma. His goal is to attend college and would like to become an army officer in the future. His favorite color is sky blue and his favorite part about his school is their garden which is used to teach them agriculture. If he were to change one thing in his school he would like to have a computer lab.
Exchange #2
Pen Pal Exchange
2019-2020
Power to Pakistan builds connections and friendships with the students in Pakistan through a pen pal exchange. This exchange seeks to eliminate the presumed stereotypes mainly around terrorism and to build peace between Pakistan and the United States. Twenty-seven students from the U.S. and 15 students from Pakistan took part in three letter exchanges during the school year. The creative project for the club this year was to create COVID-19 masks in which our club members voted on the three best designs from our pen pals.

Ayaz is thirteen and is in seventh grade. His job is selling fruit at night. Ayaz enjoys playing soccer with his friends and his favorite color is pink.
AREEBA
Areeba is seventeen years old. She enjoys playing cricket and ludo in her free time. Her favorite subject in school is science. In the future she would like to become a teacher because she believes that teachers create a stronger nation.

Iqra is twelve years old and is in sixth grade. She enjoys playing soccer in her free time and her favorite food is rice and chicken shawarma. She has three younger sisters and three younger brothers.

Mishal is thirteen years old and is in seventh grade. She enjoys playing ping-pong in her free time. Mishal's favorite subjects are English and Urdu. Her favorite foods are pasta and spicy snacks.
MAHEEN
Maheen is thirteen and is in seventh grade. She enjoys playing badminton at school with her friends. Her favorite subject in school is Urdu. Maheen has two brothers and one sister. She does not like cold weather.
LAIBA
Laiba is twelve years old and is in sixth grade. She has two younger brothers and four younger sisters. She has hens as pets and eats their eggs for breakfast. Laiba enjoys watching movies in her free time.
SAAD
Saad is twelve years old and in the 6th grade. After school he enjoys playing soccer with his friends. He has two sisters and two brothers. Saad's favorite subject in school is math. Saad loved Pakistan and when he is older he wishes to become a soldier to fight and honor his country.
ROHAB
Rohab is twelve years old and is in the sixth grade. She enjoys playing cricket with her friends in her free time. She also likes to watch TV after school.
MOIZ
Moiz is fourteen and is in eighth grade. He enjoys flying kites and reading in his spare time. He also has four older sisters and two older brothers. In the future Moiz would like to become an engineer. His pets are goats and buffaloes. His favorite food is anything with rice and he likes macaroni as well.
